BUHARI COMMENDS NIGERIAN ARMY, VOWS SUPPORT


– President Muhammadu Buhari has assured the Nigerian armed forces of
the government’s support and gratitude for their dangerous work – The president urged the security agencies to keep up the pace of the ongoing campaigns against militant insurgency and terrorism President Muhammadu Buhari has pledged to continue support of the armed forces in their fight against numerous security challenegs across the country, including Boko Haram terrorism and militancy. The leader of the nation made the statement through the Minister of Defence, Mansur Muhammad Dan-Ali, at the commissioning of the multi-purpose Nigerian Army Resource Centre in Abuja. The statement reads in part: “I want to emphatically state that one of the top priorities of this administration is the enhancement of the Armed Forces to discharge their duties. We will continue to provide the much needed support to the Armed Forces of Nigeria to deliver efficient services and to effectively discharge their duties.


I commend the commitment and zeal of the present leadership of the Armed Forces in tackling security issues across the country.
